Youth Action Group Cash Boost
A Cheque for £850 was presented to the members of the Maybole Youth Action Group at Maybole Community Council's AGM last week. The amount was made up of £800 from funds held by the community council for youth activites and £50 from its normal adminisrtration grant fund.
Chairman Peter Mason wlecomed Ryan Ward, Conner McGill and James Dickie to the AGM and said the community council was impressed with their plans for upgrading the skatepark in the town.
Ryan Ward then presented a short video on the present state of the park and what the group would like to see done to improve it.
Willam Grant had chaired a small sub-comitee which considered applications for funding and he offically handed over the cheque to the group.
Afterwards, Mr Mason added 'We as a community council support the youth of the town and we thought that this was a good and worthy group to donate funds to. They presented their case to the community council well and in my opinion they are a credit to the town. More power to young people. They are the future and should be encouraged. My thanks also to Yvonne Kiltie and Carol Geroge, who assisted the youths'

Maybole Skatepark Updates & News
The council have finally agreed to re-paint the surfaces as a health and saftey precaution. We have boosted our funds a little more as we received £850 from the Maybole Community Council (picture on the left). Recently we have been granted £10,000 from the lottery fund which has been a big step in reaching our target of around £16,000 we need to give the skatepark that much needed overhaul! Bag packing, whick took place at our local supermarket was a success. We raised a total of around £300 which is helping us along the road to our desired ammount.. As tesco says... every little helps!
